Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. The Danube River crosses through the heart of the city and creates a beautiful scenery any time of the day. Many just sit at the waterfront and enjoy the view with nice drinks or a good meal in one of the many restaurants and bars right next to the river.
The city has approximately 20,000 students, which makes it an ideal location to start a new educational journey. Compared with other European capital cities, going out for food or for drinks is relatively cheap which makes it even more ideal for students.
Bratislava is located right at the Austrian-Slovakian border (just 5 min by car). With its close distance to Vienna there are many connections bringing you back and forth from one city to another in under an hour for affordable rates.
There are many stress-relief opportunities for you in case you are getting tired of being at the library all day.
Bratislava offers many beautiful parks, one being at the south side of the Danube called Janka Kráľa (it’s one of the largest in the city). It is directly connected to Aupark Shopping Center, laying the foundation to finish the day off watching the sunset at the waterfront after a day of shopping.
Besides parks, one can also find plenty of lakes in and around Bratislava. Some of them offer opportunities for watersports like wakeboarding or waterskiing. At other lakes there is the possibility to play beach volleyball or soccer right at the water.
Trust us when we say that there are plenty of options to stay occupied.
